It is defined as a condition in which there is a problem in the blood cells known as white blood cells. The blood cells are deposited in the bone marrow and there is a production of large number of white blood cells. It is the most common form of acute leukemia. Its incidence increases with the age.

The patient suffers from fatigue, headache, shortness of breath, bleeding and high chances of infection. It can lead to death in weeks or months if not treated.
