It is defined as a disorder in which there is a viral problem involving the live stock. It leads to fever and it spreads by the bite of mosquito which is infected. It involves the aedes or culex. It is caused by the RVF virus. It was reported first time in Kenya. The virus was isolated later on after the disease was discovered. It is found mainly in the African countries. Later on it was seen in the Arab countries.

The virus can lead to different problems and the patients have no symptoms except little bit illness along with the head ache, malaise, fever as well as muscle and liver problems. In few cases the illness can lead to the inflammation of brain as well as eye. The other symptoms can be weakness, pain in the back, loss of weight and illness. The patients recover after a week. Only very few people die with this disease. The death rate in live stocks is quite high and most of them go through the abortion.
