It is defined as a disorder in which there is a hair disease and is a rare as well as autosomal dominant in nature. It is also known as beaded hairs. The hair is weak, short as well as broken and they look beaded. It comes from the word necklace. It resembles to alopecia.
It includes the number of signs as well as symptoms. One sees a problem in the nail and sees a keratosis in the hair follicles. One also sees keratosis in other parts also.
It includes the genetic aspect mainly. There are few mutations which are seen on the gene and there is a coding of hair cortex keratins. It is inherited and is autosomal dominant in nature. The defective gene present on the chromosome leads to this disorder. It is present on the auto some and only one copy of the gene lead to this disorder. It is got from the parent who has this disorder.
It includes the use of visual examination along with the medical history. Biopsy is must in this case.
Most of the people try to live the way they are and some use few medicines such as the finasteride, topical caffeine as well as the use of minoxidil.
