What are the different types of Dental Fluorosis?

It includes the normal, very mild, mild, moderate and severe form of fluorosis.

In the normal type of fluorosis there is smooth, pale and glossy enamel. It is creamy white and translucent in color.

In the very mild type of fluorosis there is a small and opaque area seen in enamel and in case of white area which is present up to one fourth of the tooth surface.

In the mild type of fluorosis there is an opaque area seen in enamel and in case of white area which is present up to one half of the tooth surface.

In the moderate type of fluorosis there is an involvement of all tooth surfaces. There is a biting on the surface with presence of brown stains on it.

In the severe type of fluorosis there is an involvement of all tooth surfaces. There is a formation of pits along with a presence of brown stains on it.
