It is defined as a disorder in which there is a formation of the cancer cells in gingiva. It is quite common in the female as compared to male. The reason can be the irritation as well as inflammation of the gingival as there is a deposition of the calculus which is quite rich in the micro organisms. From the gingival tumor can go inside the floor of mouth followed by the cheek as well as bone. The gingival cancer in the maxilla goes inside the sinus of maxilla. It is quite common in the maxillary gingival as compared to the mandibular gingiva. It can or cannot be painful.
