It is defined as a condition in which there is a cushing syndrome along with the adrenogenital syndrome. It is also referred as a diabetic bearded woman syndrome. The disease is named after E. Achard and J. Thiers.

What are the signs and symtoms of Achard-Thiers syndrome?

It mainly affects the post menopausal women and includes the diabetes along with the deep voice. It also includes the hirsutism, clitoral hypertrophy along with the adrenal cortical hyperplasia. It is also known as the adenoma. The patients also have osteoporosis, hypertension and amenorrhoea.

What is the treatment of Achard-Thiers syndrome?

There is no specific treatment for this disorder.
