The abasia denotes to without step and is defined as an inability of the individual to walk due to the impaired coordination of muscles.
It includes the choreic abasia which occurs due to the chorea of legs and paralytic abasia which occurs due to the paralysis of legs muscle.
The spastic and trembling abasia occur due to the stiffening and trembling of legs. It is also accompanied by the inability to stand which is referred as an astasia abasia.
This condition recovers at the last moment. It involves the hysteria conversion reaction.
